PLACES HAVE MEMORIES WALK
Queer History Walking Tour Lismore - Bunjalung Country
A Lismore Pride Week Event

  • Communities cut off from their history are vulnerable. What can you do about it? Read lots of books - or come Take A Walk around Lismore and let us reveal and revel in the often forgotten, even hidden very Queer history of this region.

  • Visit a dozen locations and find out what happened from the 1950s to today- join Ian Teacosy Gray (Northern Rivers Queer History Project) and Ivan Crozier (ACON) for a wander down queer memory lane.

  • Meet at the Richmond River Historical Society Popup Museum 106 Molesworth St. at 10.15am. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat, maybe an umbrella and some water.

  • We plan to finish up at a café for drinks and a snack for lunch

  • NB: We’re looking at a bus to transport you if walking is a challenge
